Mercedes-Benz cars of the class S (W-140)The Mercedes-Benz cars of the class S (W140) Sedan of the Highest Class appeared in the market in 1991.

The independent spring suspension bracket of back wheels has a multilever design.
For safety of the movement the new S-class is equipped with electronic antistrange system (system of stabilization of stability - ESP), the amplifier of emergency brake application (BAS) and system of anti-blocking of brakes (ABS).
The standard brake system - hydraulic, double-circuit with the vacuum amplifier. Brake mechanisms of all wheels - disk. The forward brake disks ventilated, back can be as ventilated, and integral. The foot drive of the parking brake is used.
Steering of worm type with the circulating balls, is equipped by the hydraulic booster depending on the speed of the movement changing extent of strengthening. Such design significantly facilitates the parking, and also increases safety of management at high speeds.
