The GRM drive - the general information, service of components

Camshafts can be turned without risk of collision of valves with pistons in case the bent shaft is given to situation 30 ° before VMT of the piston of the first cylinder.

The gas-distributing chain can be replaced without dismantling of the engine. By means of the listed below tools the new chain can be connected to old, is passed around asterisks and fullered.

At the wrong assembly there can be a collision of valves with the bottoms of pistons!

General information

Details of installation of elements of the GRM drive

1 — Adjusting tags for reduction of the engine in the provision of VMT of the end of a step of compression of the first cylinder
2 — Cores with a diameter of 4 mm for fixing of camshafts
3 — during installation of a chain track that ledges of the regulator of the camshaft were in situation "delays".
4 — Blocking of the camshaft from a provorachivaniye can be made by means of a key

5 — Tightening of bolts of asterisks of final camshafts (5) has to be made with effort 22 Nanometers (type A - TORX T30) or 20 Nanometers + 90 ° (type B - TORX T40)
6 — the Cap of a natyazhitel
7 — the Plunger
8 — the Case of a natyazhitel
9 — the Pin with a spring

  • Pay attention to the next moments:

  • If the return is not stipulated especially, turn the engine only in the normal direction;
  • Observe the efforts of tightening of fixture stipulated by standards;
  • At the corresponding complete set do not forget to mark adjusting position of the CKP sensor before removal;
  • Do not turn a bent shaft for asterisks of camshafts, and also other asterisks of the GRM drive;
  • Do not turn cranked and camshafts at the removed gas-distributing chain.

     PERFORMANCE ORDER

    1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
    2. For the purpose of simplification of a provorachivaniye of the engine turn out all spark plugs.
    3. Bring a bent shaft into the provision of VMT of the piston of the first cylinder (1).
    4. Pass lock cores (2) with a diameter of 4 mm throughout camshafts.
    5. During installation of a chain track that ledges of the regulator of the camshaft (3) were in situation "delays".

    At the wrong assembly there can be a collision of valves with the bottoms of pistons!

    6. Blocking of the camshaft from a provorachivaniye can be made by means of a key (4).
    7. Tightening of bolts of asterisks of final camshafts (5) has to be made with effort 22 Nanometers (type A - TORX T30) or 20 Nanometers + 90 ° (type B - TORX T40).

    During performance of repair work bolts of type A should be replaced with disposable bolts of type B.

    Bolts of fastening of the regulator inlet and asterisks final camshafts are disposable and is subject to replacement without fail.

    8. Before starting implementation of repair procedures weaken a cap of a natyazhitel (6) on one whole revolution.
    9. In position of the engine 30 ° after VMT of the piston of the first cylinder remove assembly of a natyazhitel (see the Section Natyazhitel of a GRM drive chain).
    10. Having executed necessary recovery repair, make installation of a natyazhitel.
    11. Remove the sprung cap of a natyazhitel (6).
    12. Push a plunger (7) in the case of a natyazhitel (8) in the direction specified by an arrow.
    13. Install the case of a natyazhitel and tighten it with effort of 80 Nanometers.
    14. Install in the case (8) a plunger (7).
    15. Install the remained components (6) and (9) and tighten a cap with effort of 40 Nanometers.
    16. Do not forget to grease the central bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft and its washer(s) before installation.
